#Day1 Jean Baptiste Dusable founded the city I call home, Chicago, approximately in 1779. There is no photograph of Dusable in his era, only drawings. There’s also a disconnect in the actual year of his settling in Chicago. But, make no mistake, this segregated city we call home was founded by a black man.
